How does this work? Do I need special tools?
You just write your seed phrases with a pencil and a pen. For real, all you need is a pencil, a ball point pen, and some paper. No special tools!
Each kit includes a paper template with the copper sheet.
- Write your seed words on the paper template with a pencil
- Put the template over the copper and trace your seed words with the ball point pen.
- Make the engraving as deep as you want by retracing directly over the copper. Use either pencil or pen.
Use paper padding underneath. Start with light pressure, take your time. Retracing with light pressure works better than hard pressure.
Is that really it?
Just about. You should also put a little bit more information to help ensure you can restore your wallet. Each Copper Seed Safe is large enough to write the name of the wallet software and the date created, as well as notes.

Almost. Now you have to store it safely. We recommend storing these with your other important papers in safe or vault.
